Canada is globally known for its flourishing healthcare sector, but do you know the scope of the nursing department there is immense too? According to Statistics Canada’s July 2022 Labour Force Survey, there has been a significant employment increase of 8.8% (nearly 30,000+) in professional occupations in nursing from December 2020 to December 2021. The figure shows the flood of opportunities one can find in this field. Professional training in Canada can be your first step toward building a career in the nursing industry.
Canada offers numerous specialized nursing study programs, a popular one being the Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) course, which has a vast international scope. The program consists of modules that cover the fundamentals of anesthesia, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and the clinical application of anesthesia. Keep reading to get more information about the ANM course in Canada.
As mentioned above, Canada is among the most desirable places to migrate as a healthcare professional. Below are major reasons to pursue an ANM course in Canada:
Better patient care
Trained auxiliary nurses and midwives have the required knowledge, skills, and experience. And so, they provide better patient care than non-trained nurses and midwives.
Job opportunities and lucrative salary
One of the perks of choosing nursing as a career option is the abundance of job opportunities. Salary packages for graduates of ANM courses in India are less attractive than those in Canada. Hence, a professional ANM program from Canada can help to gain better-rewarding nursing positions.
Increased career mobility:
It is easy for auxiliaries to advance careers as certified nursing assistants (CNAs) or licensed practical nurses (LPN) once they complete the required training. This is because auxiliaries have experience dealing with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and are certified in one area of nursing. They are, therefore, qualified for advanced nursing roles.
